"In the time that Karen has been involved with Viewpoint, we have valued her unique insight, particularly in terms of raising organisational awareness of neurodiversity, the importance of making reasonable adjustments, and addressing the issues impacting the neurodiversity’s community mental and physical health wellbeing.

 

Karen has made a lasting impression on Viewpoint. We even created the role of Neurodivergence Champion within Viewpoint which Karen occupies to ensure that neurodiversity remains at the forefront of our agenda and to raise its profile with stakeholders and partner organisations within Hertfordshire.

 

Karen's work has had a very positive impact on all fronts at Viewpoint. From her involvement in our Connections sessions, delivering autism awareness to our team and Trustees, to her collaborations with the University of Hertfordshire and her co-production work with various statutory and voluntary organisations in Hertfordshire, Karen has been instrumental in driving positive change.

 

On a personal note, Karen has left an indelible mark on me. She has helped me truly understand what it means to make reasonable and meaningful adjustments for people on the neurodiversity spectrum.

Through her efforts, I have seen and heard about the positive effects she has on our members, increasing their knowledge and awareness of neurodiversity and their appreciation for the opportunity to work alongside Karen.
